Hanover Street Post-Game Traffic Pilot

Two southbound lanes on Hanover Street after Ravens games, and event-day No Parking on parts of West and Hanover Streets in RPP Area 30

Baltimore City DOT RPP Area 30 Pilot starts November 1, 2026 Shared by SBNA from a City of Baltimore alert

What you need to know

  • After the game, Lot H traffic will run east on West Street and south on Hanover Street in two lanes, from West Street to Wells Street.
  • During stadium events, about 17 curb spaces near West & Hanover become No Parking: roughly 14 RPP spaces on West Street, 2 RPP spaces on Hanover Street, and 1 loading-zone space.
  • The pilot starts after the Sunday, November 1, 2026 Ravens game.
  • This is a pilot. DOT and Baltimore Police will monitor it and decide whether to use it for future events.

From the Department of Transportation

Following the Sunday, November 1, 2026 Ravens game, the Department of Transportation (DOT) will install a temporary traffic pattern along a portion of Hanover Street. The pilot is designed to improve post-game traffic flow, reduce congestion, and minimize traffic delays in neighborhoods surrounding M&T Bank Stadium.

The standard post-game intersection closures and detours will remain in effect, with the following modifications:

  • As with previous games, two eastbound lanes of traffic will exit Lot H onto West Street.
  • Both lanes will continue eastbound on West Street and turn right onto Hanover Street.
  • Hanover Street will operate with two southbound lanes between West Street and Wells Street, with traffic managed by Baltimore Police officers and DOT Transportation Enforcement personnel.
  • Existing intersection closures and the northbound traffic detour at Wells Street will remain unchanged.

What happens next

DOT, in coordination with the Baltimore Police Department, will closely monitor traffic conditions during the pilot to evaluate its effectiveness and determine whether similar adjustments should be implemented for future stadium events.

SBNA will share updates as we hear them. If the new pattern affects you, on or off game day, please tell us at info@mysobo.org so we can pass neighborhood feedback along to the City.
