Welcome & Call to Order – Tara McNulty – 6:38pm
BPD Update – Sgt. Rivera – 6:38pm
Guests
Andrew & Matt: Going to open book & record store at the corner of Hanover & Cross – light performances, standup comedy, etc. Look forward to being an asset to the community. Going to do our best to repair the reputation that the building had and all of the holes in the drywall. Business still unnamed.
Nick Reilly from Liv’s Tavern & Wayward: Formerly where Mother’s used to be. We are aware of the rhetoric on Cross St, etc. We’re here to support neighborhood. Sean White (owner)’s daughter, Liv, survived a brutal bout of leukemia and the establishment is named after her. Back is now all fenced in. MOU – Sean is reviewing it and trying to get together. Kit helped promote the early family-friendly things. Liv’s wants to promote family-friendly, etc. Tara explains the MOU.
Block Party Presentation – Caroline McEaneney:
Reviews program. Focus of program is to get more membership – meet community, etc.
Applying for the $5K grant from SBGP on behalf of SBNA to host 2 (possibly 3) block parties. 1 per month possibly starting August. It has to be a street and it can’t block any intersections. It can’t be a big road. Someone on the block would apply to Baltimore City in order to get a permit. How recruiting? People who say, “My block fits these criteria and I will host.” – We got 1 volunteer.
Is there a way to fund this besides the grant?
Who has the best etc.?
SBNA will need to write a letter of support for this grant application to SBGP.
Moved by Tara; seconded by Ryan.
Motion carries.
Bylaws – Tara McNulty
We are going to dig out our bylaws in March. We never dotted the I’s, crossed the T’s on the previous review. We’ll do that.
Events – Tara McNulty
St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl in March – March 14.
No bars on the south side of Cross St are participating in the pub crawl. Only MugShots was interested and we essentially blackballed them.

Liquor Board realm of things:
Tara & Lochannan & CM Blanchard met with Matt Achhammer (BLLC) & Michelle Wirzberger (BLLC) about repeated problems with MugShots.
FHMS will host the first annual South Baltimore Rat Race – a Family Fun Run in the business district – dress up like rats & have a family friendly race and event.
