Church / Parking Authority Question
-
Trying best to see what we can do – really do a lot in the community – can share more – we
increase the value of the community around us – does anyone have
-
Tara: These are residential parking permits, not businesses – no other business has allotted
parking in front of their business. Going to put that on the agenda for the September meeting.
-
Kit had a suggestion from the church that was there previously.
-
Church looking for at minimum 3 or 4, we can try to work with that.
-
Tara: You might get 1.
-
Kit: There was a church there before you. I live close by. I know that people would park
elsewhere & bus over folks. It was like a rock concert every single Sunday. I beg of you –
regardless of any situation – that you don’t have the drummer, etc.
-
Work a lot with communities. Have a choir, etc. Want to bring an amazing part of us here.
-
Ryan: Parking Garage on West St.
-
Church: Looked into reserved wait-list there.
-
Jonathan: Just across the street is a bus stop that’s frequented by multiple lines. You’re also
walkable to the Light Rail station and the MARC station, less so from
…
. How much have you
looked into public transit?
-
Church: We do have some who live in Baltimore.
-
Rebecca: Camden doesn’t run on weekends.
-
Tara: When looking at spots out front?
-
Justin: How often are you looking for? Some hours on Sundays?
-
Church: Always there, every day.
-
…
List of any empty spaces up for rent?
-
Tara: Everybody already rents those out to residents.
-
Jonathan: Small garage for sale down on Wells St.
-
Tara: Alta & Quill might work out something on weekends.
-
Peter: There are also no restrictions on Wells.
Public Safety:
-
Tara reminds of BPD past presentations. Talks about CM Blanchard’s since-discontinued
discussion of having a business-district-specific sales tax that would have that.
-
Vol interested in helping with grant-writing – but who holds the money? FHMS concerned about
liability.
-
Lochhanan gave Tara greenlight to shop MOUs north of Cross St.
Body Shop Issue – Justin:
-
JL spoke with Porter’s office
-
People agree that bad look for neighborhood
-
Nobody has tlkaed to them yet – so we will talk to them
Liquor Board
-
Tara: Matt from LB was supposed to be here today. Anything we can find about MugShots that
shows they aren’t following rules – we should bring to attn. Very confident they aren’t following
rules with bottle service.
-
Problematic business at Hanover & Cross.
Clean & Green – Ryan
-
CharmCityCleanUp can post to website
-
The more 311s we put in leading up to it – what happens during that.
-
Bombard them – clean sweep fix problems.
-
Tara: DPW will blitz nh. Clean Corps Baltimore will be here doing vacant lots. 09/22 through
09/25.
-
Ryan: 07/26 at 09:00. Dumpster Day.
Old Business – Tara
-
Welcome Letter for Business. Will work on drafting that letter.
-
We need to get that updated.
-
Sarah: FHSNA has QR codes – we should do that.
-
Website – Block of the Month.
New Business:
-
Del. Clippinger hosted a meeting for all NH assox in 46
th
District to talk about Sail 250. June 24 –
July 4. Fleet Week, etc. Madhouse. Tara asked if the City would pave Fort Ave beforehand.
Unlikely. Will residents get perks because of the burden? Also unlikely.
-
Caroline will be at SBGP Meeting.
-
Max: 1300 S. Charles – no parking. What’s that about? Ryan thinks maintenance.
-
Sarah: Air BnB issue on the 100 Blk W. Ostend. Problematic.
